In the most simplified versions of these charts, brown eyes are considered dominant. I have Trine, Trine 2 and Trine 3 this way (for Trine 3 I use an autohotkey script that waits for the launcher window and click in start because main exe shows the launcher too). So, for every game I have on steam that have a launcher, I've created a direct link to the game exe and put the original link in the hidden category. I know you did your launchers controller compatible, but for controller players (and kids even more) launchers are anyonning. I unistalled everything in my USB ports before finding the culprit.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! I have to apologize for this thread. If you do happen to have a few sets of Joy-Con and Pro Controllers spare though, its certainly worth having a crack at multiplayer. Sorry for the inconvenience! Let me know how it went.
You could try removing the devices and connecting them again when the game is running and see if this makes any difference.

For some reason second controller was recognized as keyboard and mouse because it was disconnected when the game was launched (although in his case it seems like Windows was causing this issue).
